🥩 Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings (split, tips removed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp baking powder (for extra crispiness)

🍊 Zesty Citrus Honey Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp orange juice (optional but adds amazing flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornflour + 2 tbsp water (slurry for thickening)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep & Season

  • Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F)
  • Pat wings completely dry (this is key for crispiness!)
  • Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and baking powder

2. Bake to Crispy Perfection

  • Place wings on a wire rack over a baking tray
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway
  • They should turn golden and crispy

3. Make the Citrus Glaze

  • In a pan, combine honey, lemon juice, zest, orange juice, garlic, and soy sauce
  • Simmer on low heat for 3–4 minutes
  • Add cornflour slurry and cook until slightly thickened

4. Toss & Finish

  • Toss hot wings in the glaze until fully coated
  • Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for a sticky caramelized finish
