π Ingredients (Serves 4β6)
- 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 2 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons custard powder (or cornstarch)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Powdered sugar (for garnish, optional)

- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Prepare puff pastry
- Roll out slightly and cut into squares or rectangles.
- Place on baking tray and bake for 12β15 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Let cool slightly, then gently split each piece in half (like a sandwich).
- Make quick pudding (custard)
- In a saucepan, heat 1Β½ cups milk with sugar.
- Mix custard powder with remaining Β½ cup milk until smooth.
- Pour into hot milk, stirring constantly until thick.
- Add butter and vanilla. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Assemble
- Spoon warm pudding onto bottom half of pastry.
- Place top layer over it.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
