๐Ÿ“ Ingredients (Serves 4โ€“6)

  • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons custard powder (or cornstarch)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish, optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Prepare puff pastry
    • Roll out slightly and cut into squares or rectangles.
    • Place on baking tray and bake for 12โ€“15 minutes until golden and puffed.
    • Let cool slightly, then gently split each piece in half (like a sandwich).
  3. Make quick pudding (custard)
    • In a saucepan, heat 1ยฝ cups milk with sugar.
    • Mix custard powder with remaining ยฝ cup milk until smooth.
    • Pour into hot milk, stirring constantly until thick.
    • Add butter and vanilla. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  4. Assemble
    • Spoon warm pudding onto bottom half of pastry.
    • Place top layer over it.
    • Dust with powdered sugar.
