Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1½ cups rolled oats (old-fashioned)
- ¼ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
- ¼ cup milk (any kind)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips (optional but encouraged)
Optional Boosts
- 1 tbsp chia or flax seeds
- 2 tbsp nut butter (peanut or almond = extra fudgy)
- ¼ tsp cinnamon or espresso powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or lightly grease an 8×8 pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix in maple syrup, milk, and vanilla.
- Stir in oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and any optional add-ins.
- Spread evenly into the pan.
- Bake 22–26 minutes until set but still soft in the center (don’t overbake!).
