π Ingredients (Makes 8 danishes)
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ΒΌ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for slight tang)
For egg wash
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon water
Optional glaze
- Β½ cup powdered sugar
- 1β2 tablespoons milk
- ΒΌ teaspoon vanilla extract

- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare filling
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, egg yolk, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy. - Shape the danishes
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Place triangles on baking sheet.
- Roll the edges slightly inward to create a small border.
- Add about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture in the center.
- Egg wash
Mix egg white and water. Brush lightly over dough edges for golden color. - Bake
Bake 12β15 minutes or until golden brown. - Glaze (optional)
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled danishes.

- Add a spoon of strawberry, blueberry, or cherry jam on top before baking.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds before baking.
- Add lemon zest to the filling for extra flavor.
