Simple Apple Egg Cake (Pan or Oven)
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup sugar (or less if apples are sweet)
- ½ cup flour
- 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
- ½ tsp baking powder (optional but helps it rise)
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: cinnamon or vanilla
Instructions
- Prep the apples
- Peel (optional), core, and slice apples thin.
- Toss with a little sugar and cinnamon if you like.
- Mix wet ingredients
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until slightly pale.
- Add oil/butter and vanilla if using.
- Add dry ingredients
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix just until smooth (don’t overmix).
- Combine
- Gently fold in the apples.
- Cook
- Oven: Pour into a greased pan and bake at 180°C / 350°F for 30–35 minutes
- Stovetop: Cook in a covered non-stick pan on low heat for 25–30 minutes (flip carefully if needed)
- Cool & serve
- Let it cool slightly.
- Sprinkle sugar on top or serve warm as is.
