🥬 Oven-Baked Cabbage (Simple & Delicious)

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head green cabbage
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter for extra flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Optional Flavor Boosts

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika or paprika
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cooked bacon bits (because… yes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F / 205°C.
  2. Prep cabbage:
    Remove outer leaves, cut cabbage into 1-inch thick slices or wedges.
  3. Season:
    Place cabbage on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil or butter, add garlic, salt, pepper, and any extras. Toss or brush to coat.
  4. Bake:
    Roast 25 minutes, flip pieces, then bake 10–15 more minutes until edges are browned and slightly crispy.
  5. Finish:
    Optional but clutch: sprinkle with Parmesan or a squeeze of lemon before serving.

  • Bacon Cabbage: Scatter chopped cooked bacon over the top halfway through baking
  • Cheesy Cabbage: Add shredded cheddar or Parmesan during the last 5 minutes
