Cream Cheese Stuffed Banana Bread

🧁 Ingredients

Banana Bread Batter

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the cream cheese filling:
    Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Prepare banana batter:
    In a bowl, mix melted butter and mashed bananas.
    Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla.
    Add baking soda and salt.
    Fold in flour just until combined (don’t overmix).
  4. Assemble:
    • Pour half the banana batter into the loaf pan.
    • Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over it.
    • Top with remaining banana batter and gently smooth.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the edge comes out clean (avoid the center cream layer when testing).
  6. Cool completely before slicing for clean layers.

✨ Optional Add-Ins

  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon in the batter
  • Brown sugar crumble on top
