Apple Custard Bake (Simple & Homemade)

Ingredients
- 2 medium apples
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons sugar (white or brown)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for greasing the dish)
- Pinch of salt

- Small baking dish (about 15–18 cm / 6–7 inches)
- Bowl
- Fork or whisk
- Knife
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Set oven to 180°C / 350°F. - Prepare apples
- Peel apples (optional).
- Core and slice thinly.
- Put slices in a bowl and mix with 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon.
- Prepare baking dish
- Grease dish with butter or oil.
- Spread apples evenly in the dish.
- Make custard
- In a bowl, whisk eggs with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and vanilla.
- Mix until smooth and slightly foamy.
- Assemble
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the apples.
- Gently press apples down so they’re mostly covered.
- Bake
- Bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Top should be set and lightly golden.
- A knife inserted in the center should come out mostly clean.
- Cool & serve
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm or cold.
