  • 1ยฝ cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • 1ยฝ tsp baking powder
  • ยฝ tsp salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • Poppy seeds
  • Shredded cheese

  1. Blend the cottage cheese
    Blend until smooth (this gives a better bagel texture).
  2. Make the dough
    In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
    Add blended cottage cheese and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead lightly
    Knead 1โ€“2 minutes until smooth.
    If sticky, add a little flour.
  4. Shape bagels
    Divide dough into 4โ€“6 balls.
    Roll each into a rope and join ends to form bagels.
  5. Egg wash & top
    Place on parchment-lined tray.
    Brush with beaten egg and add toppings.
  6. Bake
    Bake at 190ยฐC / 375ยฐF for 20โ€“25 minutes
    Until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly & enjoy
